Michelle Monaghan is getting her costume inspirations from Channing Tatum this year. There are many options for kid Halloween costumes, but it looks like the "Best of Me" star wants her 11-month-old son to dress as a little stripper.
The 38-year-old Monaghan told Jimmy Kimmel on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that she is planning to dress her baby boy, Tommy, as a mini Channing Tatum from "Magic Mike."
"He's actually going to go as Channing Tatum from 'Magic Mike," she told Kimmel. "He's going to have a little long tie."
It might not be a conventional Halloween costume, especially for children, but Michelle Monaghan apparently has an explanation for her decision. "He's just got the body for it. What can I say?" the actress said. "He's really cute. He's a big boy. He's got these defined muscles and he's got blonde hair, blue eyes."
She ends her reasoning with, "He's got 'stripper' written all over him. Sorry, it's terrible."
On a more serious note, Michelle Monaghan played the role of a mother who enlisted in the army in the indie drama "Fort Bliss." She is hoping that Hollywood was able to notice her take on the role. Being a wife and a mother herself, she thinks that the industry has tackled flicks about veterans, but rarely focused on the women.
She says that there are actually many real life stories that talk about the women who serve on active duty and she wants more movies to feature them.
Magic Mike actually wears a long tie in his infamous stripper scenes and fans are anticipating if there will be more of his signature stripper moves in the upcoming sequel.
"Magic Mike XXL" has already started its production stages in Savannah, Georgia. The movie will be reuniting Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez, Kevin Nash, and Gabriel Iglesias. It has been scheduled to hit the big screens on July of 2015.
