Ebola-Risk Hospital Worker Boards Caribbean Cruise Ship; U.S. Officials To Limit Their Public Appearances [VIDEO+REPORT]

An Ebola-risk health care worker boarding a cruise ship is being isolated despite not showing any signs and symptoms of the deadly disease, while U.S. officials asked the health workers exposed to the Ebola infected patients to limit public appearances.

The massive scare about the fatal disease which already killed more than 4,000 people in West Africa begins to intensify after the U.S. government announced on Friday that another possible carrier of the virus is out in the open. The recent report continue to horrify majority of the population since there are already three confirmed cases of the disease in the country while many other individuals are being traced and placed in isolation precaution for monitoring.

Following the death of Thomas Duncan on Oct.8, two more health care workers have been diagnosed with Ebola while another potentially infected person is currently quarantined on a cruise ship. Nina Pham and Amber Joy Vinson, who were both working in Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, were previously exposed to Duncan during his stay in the said health facility. With Pham and Vinson being infected with the deadly disease, many are already questioning the real mode of transmission of the infection while many others also claim that the virus is actually airborne.

With the possibility of acquiring the infection, the unnamed health worker currently in a cruise ship is being monitored for any symptoms of infection although she did not show any in the past 19 days. The suspected Ebola infected woman reportedly handled a lab specimen from Duncan. The U.S. is already taking a tougher approach in monitoring the health workers who were exposed to the infected patient and the first step of it is to have an agreement that they should not go to public places or use public transportation to prevent a potential spread of infection.

Aside from the quarantined worker in a Caribbean cruise ship, the fiancée of Duncan was also ordered to remain at home until the 21-day incubation period of the Ebola virus.
