Amanda Bynes Accused Shoplifting At High-End NYC Store; Witnesses Say Former Actress Was ‘Acting Crazy’

Amanda Bynes accused shoplifting at Barneys in New York City on Madison Avenue. She allegedly ran out of the store while she was still wearing a hat that was worth $200.

The 28-year-old "Sydney White" actress was apprehended by security as she attempted to leave the establishment's premises without paying for the merchandise, TMZ reported.

There were other people within the venue who were able to witness the incident. They said that Amanda Bynes accused shoplifting was "acting crazy" inside the store. Somebody called the police, and four NYPD officers were quick to respond to the call, but the mall security had already let her go.

The former Nickelodeon star told security that she was only hurrying out the store because fans were chasing her inside. She wore the hat to conceal her face and tried to run out. She added that she had actually wanted to purchase the hat and was going to get her wallet from her car, when her fan started to go after her.

Barneys then made her sign a no-trespass agreement, which means that she can no longer re-enter the said establishment. She did, however, agree never to return to the store again. But she was adamant that she had absolutely no intention of stealing anything.

She has been in the Big Apple for less than a week and she has already been accused of talking to herself while in public, looking quite disheveled with a bandage on her cheek, scratching a woman at a nightclub, and wearing only one shoe while inside Bloomingdale's, which is another high-end department store in Manhattan.

Additionally, Amanda Bynes accused shoplifting was reportedly photographed only moments before allegedly shoplifting. She was seen smoking cigarette after cigarette as she walked the busy streets of New York City. Plus, she was even spotted pulling up her shirt and taking off the bra underneath it.
