Teen shot St. Louis - Another case of a white cop shooting a black teen dead has been reported. Following the death of Michael Brown, an 18-year old black kid was shot fatally by a white cop who was reportedly off-duty. Protests have already ensued after the incident of the teen shot St. Louis.
The second time this month that a teen shot in St. Louis. Before the death of the 18-year old black kid, Michael Brown another black teenager had been shot to death. The white cop named Darren Wilson had chased Brown before shooting the unarmed teen. Despite what protesters in Ferguson had called an unjust death, Darren Wilson has not been charged.
Now, the recent report of a teen shot St. Louis involves another black teenager and a white cop. Early reports claim that the 18-year old was carrying a firearm and had shot at officers three times.
"As he exited the car, the gentlemen took off running. He was able to follow one of them before he lost him and then found him again as the guy jumped out of some bushes across the street. The officer approached, they got into a struggle, they ended up into a gangway, at which time the young man pulled a weapon and shots were fired. The officer returned fire and unfortunately the young man was killed," stated Police Lt Col Alfred Adkins.
However, Teyonna Myers, the cousin of the suspect, claimed he was carrying a sandwich.
He had a sandwich in his hand, and they thought it was a gun. It's like Michael Brown all over again," stated Myers, aged 23, to St. Louis Post.
St. Louis metropolitan police have yet to release the names of the white cop, aged 32, and the black teenager, aged 18 involved. Following the death of two teens shot St. Louis, violent protests have ensued.
