Airstrikes target positions held by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters in Kobane on Tuesday.
The US-led alliance aimed its fire in the areas where the ISIL militants have already gained control. According to the recent reports, the said troubled city in Syria has been penetrated by the force of the militant group. ISIL fighters show that they are now having control over the three districts in country's east side by raising their black flag after having a street battle against the country's defenders.
In order to address the ongoing move of ISIL to control a much larger portion of the country by continuing its war against the Syrian-Kurdish defenders, several airstrikes have been launched in Kobane. The battle of the Syrian government and its allies against the ISIL begin to intensify as the militant groups try to infiltrate the city while trying to bring in more of their members in the city area.
According to a report from Aljazeera, Idris Nahsen, a Kurdish official admitted that they needed the help of the international community as they attempt to fight the invaders. Nahsen also said that the Kurds are in contact with the US and of Turkey as they needed more assistance.
"We need help from the international community. Either we finish them or they will finish us," he said.
Although the airstrikes in the city of Kobane has already helped in protecting the city from the ISIL fighters, it was revealed that it is not enough. Despite of the previous launches, Nahsen is also calling for more assistance in terms of providing the Kurdish fighters with their necessary equipment for arms and ammunition.
The airstrikes launched targeting the ISIL fighters have already moved 186,000 people to Turkey since Kobane has become a crucial area for the battle. On the other hand, Turkey claims to be in a difficult position after being hesitant of deploying their forces in Syria despite of their pledge to help defend the troubled city.
