Annabelle Wallis, 30 years old, took on the lead role in horror flick "Annabelle," which is actually a prequel to "The Conjuring," which premiered in 2013. The movie is about a couple who unfortunately experienced paranormal activities because of the doings of a creepy vintage doll.
Annabelle Wallis, who plays the role of the wife, admits that she got a bit carried away with the scary prop and became truly scared of the doll. Plus, taking a look at her statements, it looks like she was not the only person on set who was terrified of Annabelle.
She told Total Film Magazine, "She's pretty freaky. She creaks and she's very stiff. Limbs kept falling off." Even though she and the other members of the production crew were uneasy to be in close distance with the doll, they were able to figure out something funny to do to relieve the tension.
Annabelle Wallis said, "There were a lot of pranks on set where we'd hide her behind doors. She's a pretty ugly doll! It would be harder to have something that wasn't so grotesque. She can't be Barbie in her latest spandex outfit!"
She watched the finished product of the film and admitted that she actually "felt sorry for herself" when she saw the scary situation that the wife in the movie was in.
It was a good thing that she was able to have a bit of comic relief because of Sacha Baron Cohen's signature hilarious antics. Annabelle Wallis and Cohen are co-stars in a funny spy film entitled, "Grimsby." It was precisely what she needed after shooting "Annabelle."
Annabelle Wallis recalled her funny experience with Cohen and said, "We did one 20-minute take because we were p**sing ourselves so badly! He said, 'If I'm laughing, that's a good thing.' I was, like, 'If you laugh, I'm f*cked!' I can't stop afterwards."
