Joe Giudice's sentencing and wife, Teresa has finally arrived on October 2, Thursday after pleading guilty to the charges of tax evasion and bank fraud.
Jail time is already coming for the couple after committing financial crimes. The verdict of the couple's case has been a long wait not just for their family, but also to the viewers of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" wherein they both appear as regular casts. Before the judge reached the decision, there are already rumors that the couple will soon end up having a divorce while Teresa will be off the reality show.
Although the sentencing for Teresa and Joe Giudice's case is finalized this year, U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas state that the couple will surely have the Christmas and New Year's Eve to spend with their four kids.
"She's going to have the holidays with her family," Judge Salas told the Newark, New Jersey, courtroom on Thursday.
This year's Christmas season will be the last of the Giudice family to spend altogether before the couple is asked to serve their jail time. Thursday's sentencing reveals that Teresa will be spending her life in jail for about 15 months while Joe is scheduled for 41 months while there is a huge possibility of him being deported back to Italy. Although the couple will soon face longer time in jail, they won't spend time in jail together since the decision states that Teresa will first serve her time while her husband stays with their four daughters.
Joe Giuidice's sentencing will be soon effective after his wife will be released from jail. The couple's legal troubles reportedly started in 2009 when they filed for bankruptcy and tax evasion when the Giudice patriarch failed to file a tax return from 2004-2008. It was in March 2014 that they pleaded guilty to all 41 counts of fraud.
