The recent explosion happened after the United States and Afghanistan led by its newly-elected president, Ashraf Ghani sealed the security deal on Tuesday. The signing of the said deal between the two nations mandates the Afghan government to allow the US troops to remain in the country after 2014. The agreement has been a long wait for both parties since the Afghan's former president, Hamid Karzai previously refused of the said security pact.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid already claims the responsibility for today's suicide attacks in Kabul. The group reportedly rejects the signed agreement between the US government and of Afghanistan. They also claim that the security deal betrays the nation along with its history, people and religion.
The group also said that today's two separate attacks in Kabul are just an indication of their frustration and anger about the signed deal. They also condemn the treaty as America's plot while it just further motivates them to have more morale of fighting their enemy.
The bombings of the Taliban group were observed in two different locations. According to a report from the Huffington Post, the first suicide attack happened in the west part of the country's capital wherein a bus carrying a group of Afghan National Army officers was the target. The first incident killed seven individuals while injuring 15 other people.
Today's second explosion takes place in the northeastern part of Kabul wherein about six army personnel have been wounded. Victims were rushed to the hospital while the authorities seal the site of the explosion.
With the Taliban group in rage about the newly signed security deal between the US and Afghanistan, it is possible that more bombings will be expected in the different parts of the country.
