Tracy Morgan Net Worth: How Rich Is The Embattled 'SNL' Comedian, '30 Rock' Actor?

Tracy Morgan's net worth is probably the least of the actor's worries right now as he is still recuperating from the June vehicular crash involving his limousine and a Wal-Mart truck. Moreover, he is still facing a legal battle against the famous retail corporation along with the other plaintiffs in the case. But in case his recuperation takes a little bit longer, can Tracy Morgan financially survive with his net worth?

Well, Morgan, who has been a part of successful shows like "30 Rock" and "Saturday Night Live," has enough wealth to last until he's fully healed. For one thing, Celebrity Net Worth lists his wealth to be around $18 million, which is technically more than what other celebrities earn and way more than what average people get for their paychecks.

Tracy Morgan's net worth is the cumulative money he has earned not only by acting on television shows, but also by performing stand-up comedy here and there as well as for his book "I Am The New Black."

Nonetheless, it is undeniable that Tracy Morgan's net worth flourished when he became a cast member of the long-running but still hit late-night live sketch and variety show "SNL" from 1996 to 2003.

After making funny sketches for eight seasons on SNL, Morgan got his own show "The Tracy Morgan Show" which premiered in 2003 but sadly wrapped up a little too early in 2004.

After his short-lived show, Morgan became part of the very successful NBC comedy, where he portrayed Tracy Jordan, a character that is said to be very close to his real-life persona.

Tracy Morgan's net worth got a boost from the show since it ran for seven seasons from 2006 to 2013.

Apart from his television success, Morgan also became an established Hollywood celebrity through his big screen performances in a number of feature films including "The Longest Yard," "The Other Guys," "Death At A Funeral," "Cop Out," and "Rio" among others.

As of late, the acting and comedic projects of the funnyman are still on hold since he is still recuperating from the terrible New Jersey Turnpike accident that killed his buddy James McNair and seriously injured the other people who were with him in the limousine at the time of the crash.

The latest update on his case against Wal-Mart revealed that Morgan was not actually wearing his seatbelt at the time of the highway disaster, reported Fox News.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. even insists in the filing that the passengers' injuries were caused "in whole or in part by their failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device."

Wal-Mart spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan said that the retail giant "continues to stand willing to work with Mr. Morgan and the other plaintiffs to resolve this matter."
