Couple $100 Tip To Terrible Waiter Goes Viral; Iowa Couple Posts Story To Remind Others To ‘Always Remember Where You Came From’ [PHOTO]

Couple $100 tip story has gone viral. Apparently, the waiter who served Makenzie Schultz did not deserve even a $1 tip. However, Makenzie and her husband Steven did not see it that way.

This was a highly remarkable story about unconditional kindness from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The couple $100 tip was passed on to their waiter on a $66 bill just this weekend. They even posted the receipt on Facebook. Despite the terrible service that they were given during their dining experience in the area, they kept a smile on their faces and turned the negative situation into something positive.

Makenzie wrote on her Facebook account, "Our service tonight sucked. Took 20 minutes to get water, 40 minutes for an appetizer, and over an hour for our entrée. People all around us were making fun of the restaurant and how bad the service was. Yeah, it was pretty terrible."

However, instead of gushing on and on about their terrible waiter and how they were treated as customers of the establishment, just like what the other patrons that day were doing, the Schultzes opted to do the exact opposite. They started to feel quite badly for the waited, since he had far too many tables to handle all by himself, and all at once.

As a gift for their extremely busy waiter, they gave him a massively generous tip. Makenzie said, "I said to Steven, 'Wow. This used to be us, waiting tables. I don't miss it at all.' I'm just sharing this as a friendly reminder to think of the entire situation, before you judge. And always, always, always remember where you came from."

Initially, she thought that the couple $100 tip story that she posted was only something for her Facebook friends to think about. Surprisingly, her heartwarming Facebook post got nearly 1.5 million likes as of Tuesday morning.
