iPhone 6 'BendGate' Goes Out Of Hand: Reports On iPhone 6 Bending Reportedly 'Exaggerated'? [VIDEO & REPORT]

iPhone 6 "BendGate" has been widely talked about online. Countless users have complained about the phone's weak structure after being placed in their pockets. In addition, a number of advertisements making fun of the iPhone 6 "BendGate" have already gone viral. However, reports claim that the complaints on the latest Apple phone bending have been completely exaggerated.

After countless reports surged online about the iPhone 6 "BendGate," Samsung, HTC and Asus immediately released ads that mocked the Apple phones' design and structure. Following the online mockery, Consumer Reports had released their say on the matter.

Consumer Reports, the website responsible for testing products based on consumer complaints, took on the iPhone 6 "BendGate" hype. In their study released online, the iPhone 6 doesn't bend as easily as some users complain. In addition to putting the iPhone 6 to the bend test, other phones such as Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, HTC One and LG G3 were tested.

The iPhone 6 subjected to bending when it reached the force of 90 pounds. HTC One bent at only 70 pounds of force while the LG G3 bent at 130 pounds of force. The strongest in the bend test was Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 that bent only after 150 pounds of force.

Basically, Consumer Reports study proves that the iPhone 6 "BendGate" was overly exaggerated. Apple on the other hand released a report stating they had only nine complaints received about the iPhone 6 bending. Before releasing the iPhone 6, around 15,000 units had undergone stress tests that led to the most efficient iPhone 6 design.

Even with the "BendGate" controversy, the sales of Apple's latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus don't appear to be affected. During the first week of its release, Apple had sold over ten million units of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
