Oklahoma beheading has now gotten the attention of the FBI. The FBI has just joined local authorities on Friday in the investigation of the Oklahoma beheading that involved an Islamic worker who allegedly beheaded a fellow employee.
According to the reports, the Islamic worker is being investigated for the accusations that he beheaded another employee and seriously injured another at a food processing plant that is located in the suburban area of Oklahoma City.
The police said Alton Nolen, a 30-year-old vegetable cutter at Vaughan Foods, Inc. of Moore, utilized a 10-inch work knife to stab and kill the front office employees on Thursday at around 4:10 p.m. According to reports, Nolen has just been fired from the establishment.
Mark Vaughan, the company's chief operating officer, was able to stop the brutal attack by shooting Nolen with the use of a rifle that he kept inside his office for emergency purposes. The local police praised Nolen, who happens to be a reserve deputy sheriff, for his quick thinking and even lauded him as a hero for preventing further mayhem.
John Whetsel, the Oklahoma County Sheriff, stated, "There is every reason to believe that the lives of untold others were saved."
The employee who was beheaded in this attack was the 54-year-old Colleen Hufford. The police stated that she only encountered Nolen as he entered the company's front office, only minutes after he got fired in another part of the building. Traci Johnson, 43 years old, who was also an employee of the front office, was, unfortunately, stabbed multiple times before her attacker was shot. Johnson was immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
Nolen, however, was able to survive the two bullets that were fired into his body, according to the authorities. He was also taken to the hospital to undergo surgery. As stated by the police, the Oklahoma beheading suspect will be formally charged as soon as his present medical condition permitted.
