The Inn at Buck Hill Falls is said to be home to suspected cop killer, Eric Frein. Frein is wanted by state police for the murder of a state trooper named Cpl. Bryon Dickson. Lt. Col. George Bivens is leading the man hunt, which has lasted for approximately two weeks. Latest development claim Frein was spotted at the alleged haunted Inn at Buck Hill Falls in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
Eric Frein, the 31-year old suspect, is wanted for the murder of Cpl. Bryon Dickson. Reports state that Frein had open fired on Dickson at the Blooming Grove state police barracks Sept. 12. Another trooper had been seriously wounded.
The hunt on Frein had brought state troopers and Lt. Col. George Bivens to a section of the Pennsylvania wilderness. Investigators managed to track Frein's phone signal in the area of Pike and Monroe Counties in Pocono Mountains. Now, an updated report claims Frein had been spotted at the Inn at Buck Hill Falls.
Police reports state that Eric Frein had been known to frequently visit the Inn at Buck Hill Falls. Now an abandoned complex, the Inn at Buck Hill Falls used to be a hotel in the year 1901where it expanded in the course of time to four hundred rooms, a resort and conference center. It had been touted as one of US's' top convention centers before it closed down in the year 1991.
Long before man hunt of Eric Frein, the Inn at Buck Hill Falls has had a number of visitors from around the world ever since MTV's 2000 film "Fear" had been produced in the area. The film had enticed viewers to believe that 73 murders took place at the Inn. While this has yet to be proven, residents around the area claim to have seen ghosts abound. With Frein on the loose and believed to be residing in the area, the Buck Hill Falls Inn is the last place anyone should be in.
