Australian Teen Terror Suspect Killed; 18-Year-Old Suspect Allegedly Waved ISIS Flag At Local Mall

Australian teen terror suspect killed after he stabbed two counter-terrorism officers. This incident occurred only days after the local police, who raided the area, were able to thwart what they considered was "an imminent plot to behead a member of the public."

Australia has always been a staunch ally of the United States, supporting each other's actions against ISIS. This is one of the reasons why the country has been on high alert for attacks or threats from home-grown militants who are returning from the Middle East.

The Australian teen terror suspect killed was an 18-year-old named Abdul Numan Haider. He was asked to go the police station that was located in the southern state of Victoria on Tuesday so that he could be asked some questions. According to the reports, the police wanted to talk to him since his behavior was "causing concern."

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Ken Lay informed the press on Wednesday, "This was a planned and agreed meeting. When these two police officers approached him, they were stabbed, one very seriously." Moreover, the police also mentioned that Haider, who apparently had his passport suspended nearly a week ago, had displayed a flag that was linked to the ISIS at a shopping mall within the area.

Plus, it has also been reported that the Australian teen terror suspect killed also allegedly made some threats towards the Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

Justice Minister Michael Keenan informed the reporters, "I can advise that the person in question was a known terror suspect who was a person of interest to law enforcement and intelligence agencies."

The two officers whom the Australian teen terror suspect stabbed are now in stable condition in the hospital. One of them had to undergo surgery after he was stabbed in the head, neck, and the stomach.
