Stolen Jaguar returned to its owner after 46 years. It was found just last month as it was being shipped to the Netherlands. As soon as the 1967 stolen Jaguar returned was found by the US Customs and Border Protection, otherwise referred to as the CBP, it was immediately returned to its owner.
Nearly half a century ago, Manhattan attorney Ivan Schneider, now 82 years old, lost one of his most prized belongings, a Jaguar XKE. He and the local authorities back again scoured the country for the missing vehicle, but Schneider eventually lost hope in finding it after years and years of looking for it but to no avail.
Luckily for Schneider, and as if by some miracle, authorities spotted the stolen Jaguar returned last month. Schneider only got to see it on Wednesday. The stolen Jaguar returned meant so much to Schneider since it was always present during his happiest memories of his youth. In fact, according to him, driving the special roadster was probably one of the happiest moments of his life. He got to chase around the expressways of New York at over 100 miles per hour. When it was stolen from him, he felt like he had lost a huge part of his life.
Schneider informed the press about his stolen Jaguar returned, "I walked up and down Madison Avenue, then up and down 5th Avenue, and it wasn't there. I was heartbroken."
Schneider recalled the time in 1967 when he wanted to change his first edition Ford Thunderbird for a new vehicle that was shaped like an oval. A certain Porsche model was one of his options. However, he mentioned that as soon as he spotted the Jaguar XKE, he fell in love with it forever.
Sadly, his love affair with his car was shattered when it was taken from him on March 13, 1968. According to reports, it was 11:00 p.m. when he last saw his stolen Jaguar returned. It is a good thing that he is now reunited with his long lost love.
