Emma Watson speech - Despite having spoken up for gender equality in New York City, the British actress Emma Watson faced a number of backlash. While others have targeted Watson for her fight for gender equality, one website known to release nude photos of celebs has threatened the "Harry Potter" star. 4Chan claims they will release Emma's nude photos in less than three days.
Following Emma Watson's speech for her "HeForShe" campaign that fights for gender equality, 4Chan has released an ominous message meant for the "Harry Potter" star. The site named, "Emma Watson Your Next: Never Forget, The Biggest to Come Thus Far" featured a clock counting down to less than three days with Emma's photo featured on the side.
4Chan was one of two sites that had released the nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence early in September. Along with Reddit, the websites are now the latest source for the new batch of nude photo leaks involving Amber Heard, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian.
A number of reports claim this was 4Chan's answer to Emma Watson's speech in her fight for gender equality where she also challenged men to take part of. Soraya Nadia McDonald of the Washington Post added that Emma Watson speech could have intimidated men pushing them to create an online forum meant to harm the actress.
While Emma Watson speech was a ground for debate in 4Chan's forums, a number of users have debated the authenticity of the possible photos set to be released by the site. Watson had been targeted in the past by nude photos, which were obviously photoshopped. As for Emma Watson, the actress continues to fight for gender equality for her "HeForShe" campaign.
"If men don't have to control, women won't have to be controlled," stated Emma Watson speech during the United Nations "HeForShe" campaign in New York City.
