The Blacklist Season 2 Premiere: Not What The Fans Expected?

The Blacklist kicks off its 2nd season with the show's consistent goodness. As soon as "The Blacklist" aired, it was quickly catapulted into one of the most popular TV dramas today, raising NBC's sails. The show reminded the public of James Spader's skills. Plus, the audience was also introduced to the horrible wig that Megan Boone had to wear for the show.

The 1st season of "The Blacklist" closed with 22 episodes and ended in a big bang that lasted for two parts. As depicted in the finale episode, Red's life was put in danger because of the mysterious antics of Berlin, who is played by Peter Stormare. Plus, it also somehow wrapped up Lizzie's nightmarish relationship with her husband, Tom, who happened to be a spy.

Those were the points that "The Blacklist" imbued into the finale of the show's 1st season, in order to shake up the show's premise, perhaps in support of the show's 2nd season. Now that that "The Blacklist" season 2 has already aired, fans are thinking that maybe the show could have done better in its season 2 premiere, entitled "Lord Baltimore."

Consequently, the opening episode of the 2nd season of "The Blacklist" contained the solid moments that it needed. However, it did fall victim to a rushed, mantra-like story-telling, paired with relatively choppy editing. This is why majority of the show's fans now believe that the show's 1st season may have placed a far too high mark that the 2nd season was not able to meet.

The previous season of "The Blacklist" tried a lot of fun things, such as introducing some pseudoscience-related villains, something that the show's fans have grown to like and have most likely expected in this new season. The show even ventured into sci-fi territory, spicing up the show.
