Cheryl Hines And Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Now Have Their Own Million-Dollar House; Estate Described As ‘Connecticut Compound In Malibu’

Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. have just shelled out a good $4.995 million to obtain a land-locked compound right in the heart of Malibu, specifically in Point Dume. Cheryl Hines and Kennedy have just gotten married last month and now have their dream house scratched off their bucket lists.

Cheryl Hines and Kennedy actually got married in at the famed family compound of the groom, which is located in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. Although the estate where they held their wedding was already grand, they still wanted to have a million-dollar estate of their own for their own family.

According to property records, the huge gated estate, which has been described in digital marketing materials as a "Connecticut compound in Malibu, was actually sold by the famous eight-time Emmy-winning composer David Kurtz. Kurtz is known for his two decade long association with day-time soap operas, such as "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless."

The new estate that is now owned by Kennedy and Cheryl Hines is ringed by massive trees and is mostly landscaped. It spans .86 acres and already has a single-story barn-like main house. Although it may appear to be a barn, it actually has four massive bedrooms and three bathrooms, all in a relatively modest 2,959 square feet worth of land.

The main house includes a great room that is completely wood-paneled with bone-colored wood floors, a raised hearth for the fireplace, which, in turn, is rendered in a down-home style with the use of recycled bricks, and built-in shelves.

There is an adjoining sun porch that can easily be converted into a sun-flooded dining room. It also showcases a nearby library or media lounge that seems to have been made with more built-in shelving than usual, and a very high-tech integrated surround sound system.

The kitchen is shaped into a "U" and has chunky wood beams vaulted to the ceiling. The kitchen also has very bright natural lighting as it had over-sized multi-pane windows, white counter tops made of ceramic material, knotted cabinets, which, in turn, are either made from hickory wood or pine, and a center island that will be perfect as a snack counter. Plus, there is a separate yet an adjoining breakfast room.
