Jameis Winston Quarterback Returns To The Field On Monday; Winston Never Arrested Despite Long List Of Transgressions?

Jameis Winston will be returning on Monday as Florida State's No. 1 quarterback, according to Coach Jimbo Fisher's statement on Saturday. Jameis Winston was suspended for the Seminoles' 23-17 win over No.22 Clemson. During the five-minute post-game opening, Fisher said, "He'll be back at practice Monday and be our quarterback on Monday."

Jameis Winston was suspended for making profane and sexually explicit comments during the game's first half. He was then ruled out for the remaining part of the game by Florida State interim president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox.

Sources have confirmed to ESPN that the school decided to extend Jameis Winston's suspension after determining that he misled the administration with regards to his actions on Tuesday's incident. Still, Fisher refused to further discuss the reasons why the university decided to change its mind or when. Wilcox and Stokes also did not give their comments on the matter.

However, Fisher did mention that he believed that these latest series of events will be a huge learning experience for Jameis Winston. The quarterback has actually been involved in quite a few off-field incidents and has also been heavily criticized for his highly questionable behavior despite previous transgressions.

Jameis Winston was also the point of investigation last year due to sexual assault. However, Willie Meggs, the state attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit, opted not to charge him last December. Today, though, Florida State is still following through with the case with its Title IX investigation into the matter.

Additionally, only earlier this year, Jameis Winston was also suspended from Florida State's baseball team for three games and was also ordered to complete 20 hours' worth of community service. He was cited for stealing $32 worth of crab legs from a local grocery store last April. Moreover, Jameis Winston also had other minor run-ins with the local authorities. Surprisingly, no arrests were made.
