Anna Kendrick may be appear sweet and friendly but when it comes to grand gestures, she's not too keen on gifts. The "Pitch Perfect" star admitted to throwing out a pair of authentic diamond earrings from a fan just because it was "too weird."
In a chat with WTF With Marc Manon, Anna Kendrick fondly shares the memory of her weirdest encounter with a fan. Unlike that of Charlie Hunnam where he dealt with women's underwear at his front porch, Kendrick's experience was albeit different. In fact, it involved a pair of diamond earrings.
Along with the diamond earrings was a lengthy love letter which would have been creepy for some. Yet, what was most surprising was Kendrick's reaction to the gift. Rather than give it away or hide it, the actress had chosen to throw it away.
"And I was just like, these have to go into the trash. I can't. I cannot. I cannot wear them. I can't give them to someone. It's too weird. If the teddy bear goes in the trash, these go in the trash, these go in the trash. Just on principle. So, I had to throw them away," stated Kendrick.
As a warning to others who might get the same idea, Kendrick warned that stuff sent to her house would immediately be sent to the trash. In other Kendrick-related news that does not involve weird fans and diamond earrings, the actress wowed her fan base with a clip from her latest film, "The Last 5 Years" where she sings to co-star, Jeremy Jordan. The film is set to premiere by 2015.
Apart from showing off her songbird skills, Kendrick stunned the crowd at the Toronto International Film Festival with her old Hollywood star look. The 29-year old wore a white dress designed by KaufmanFranco which featured two sheer strips at the front and a sheer back. Kendrick paired the look with jewellery from DanaRebecca Designs and Vita Fede, a clutch by Lee Savage and heels by Brian Atwood.
