The kid from "Sixth Sense" certainly has grown up to be way different. No longer the scrawny, scared kid opposite Bruce Willis, Haley Joel Osment is all bearded and beefed up. The actor was almost unrecognizable during a shoot for his latest film "Yoga Hosers."
On September 9, the 26-year old actor was spotted in a black striped suit with sleeked back hair and a mustache. Haley Joel Osment reportedly plays the role of a Nazi in the film "Yoga Hosers." Joining Osment in the Kevin Smith directed film is Smith's daughter, Harley Quinn Smith and Johnny Depp's daughter, Lily-Rose.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the film is about an ancient evil that rises from beneath Canada. The fate of being invited to a Grade 12 party now lies in the hands of two teenage girls along with a man hunter to defeat the forces of evil.
As for Osment, the actor recently talked about the perils of being a child star. For Haley Joel Osment, it was a "double-edged sword."
"When you're a kid and you grow up, it takes some time for people to associate you with more things other than that initial thing. So it's a challenge but I've been lucky enough to do a lot of projects recently that are all over the map. It's created a lot of opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise," stated Osment to the Canadian Press during the Toronto International Film Festival.
Haley Joel's new role as a Nazi is a big jump from his recent roles in the films "Sixth Sense" and "Pay It Forward." Of course, Osment is proud of those films and he wouldn't want to shatter the image fans have of him because of his latest roles.
"Yoga Hosers" is set to hit theaters by June next year. The film also stars Adam Brody, Natasha Lyonne and Genesis Rodriguez.
