The Costa operator announced Friday a lump sum payout of €11,000 ($14,500) to each uninjured cruise ship passenger in compensation.
The decision came at a meeting between Costa Cruises and consumer groups, the Italian Association of Tour Operators said in a statement.
The payout will cover reimbursement for the cruise tickets and additional travel expenses.
Separate agreements will be reached with those passengers who were injured and needed treatment at the scene and with the families of the deceased.
The Concordia ran aground and capsized on January 13 carrying some 4,200 passengers after the captain, Francesco Schettino, made an unauthorized deviation from its approved route to bring it closer to Giglio Island.
The disaster has resulted in sixteen confirmed deaths and another 16 passengers remain missing.
