Miss Haiti 2014 crown was given to a 25-year-old restaurant owner Carolyn Desert on Sunday in Port-au-Prince. The Miss Haiti 2014 was beautifully adorned with crystals and small mirrors, something that fit Desert's gorgeous face perfectly.
The new Miss Haiti 2014 acknowledged the crowd at Port-au-Prince, who, in turn, gave her a standing ovation as she received her crown at the Karibe Convention Center. She also stated a vow that she has committer herself to, "I'm going to support the youth. I'm going to support women. I'm going to support the poor."
Carolyn Desert, the new Miss Haiti 2014 is actually a freelance writer, as well as the owner of a Mexican restaurant in an upscale area in the Petionville district of Port-au-Prince. She has been known in the area for her constant support of artists, as well as for her help towards impoverished children. Since the pageant started, she has consistently been the crowd favorite.
