September is the best month to travel a number of countries across the globe mainly because of the good weather. From Beijing to Brisbane, here are the top ten travel destinations for the month.
First off is Budapest, Hungary. In the months of July and August, Budapest has a crowd out of control but in September the crowd slims to a minimum. Not only is the weather better by September, the prices of tours become cheaper. For the budget traveller, this is the best country to visit when on a tight leash.
Second is Barcelona, Spain. While the heat is tolerable, expect rains by the afternoon and evening which becomes quite an issue. The beaches continue to be crowded with parties going from night to day break. While most of the hotels and restaurants are expensive, the main sights within the city come cheap or sometimes free. It's best to book ahead to keep the budget within a limit.
Third is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. September is the best month to visit not only because of the great weather but also of the cheap rates. Places overlooking Ipanema or Copacabana are alarmingly cheaper this month.
Fourth is Beijing, China. Unlike the other months, Beijing gets surprisingly hot and rainy. However by September, the weather gets ideally better where the days are pleasantly warm while the nights have little rain to deal with. Despite it being the most expensive part of Asia, Beijing is quite affordable especially with street food that is available at low prices.
Fifth is Athens, Greece. While the crowd might have thinned out by August, a number of tourists still flock to Athens this month. The rates for some hotels are still at their highest but some charge relatively lower by September. Like the rates, the weather in Athens is fairly pleasant for the month.
