Two members of the all-girl group "Ladies' Code" have died after being involved in a tragic car crash near Seoul on Sept.3.
K-pop stars identified as Kwon Ri-sae and Go Eun- bi were reportedly killed from the incident. Earlier reports claim that the group was travelling on their way back to the capital of South Korea when the accident occurred. Authorities are still investigating the situation since there are theories suggesting that the driver of the van where the girls were riding is speeding on a wet road.
According to a BBC report, Inspector Lee Ho-dong said that the accident occurred shortly after the girls made their way back to Seoul after shooting a TV appearance in the city of Daegu. He also added that the investigation regarding the Ladies' Code car crash is becoming difficult since there are no cameras in the highway section where the accident happened; however, he stressed that the camera inside the van has been already sent to the National Forensic Service for further details which could probably help with the ongoing analysis of the situation.
The Ladies' Code just made its debut in the industry last 2013 and with the tragic incident, the future of the group is still unclear. Other members of the group including Ashley and Zuni have been already released from the hospital after suffering from minor injuries along with the van driver who is still being questioned about the incident. On the other hand, Sojung is still in the hospital after undergoing a surgery to repair her fractured jaw brought by the crash.
Kwon Ri-sae who is famously known as Rise suffered a major head injury which prompted her to undergo an emergency brain surgery; however, she also passed away. Rise's death follows that of Go Eun-bi or also known as EunB of the Ladies' Code who died shortly after the crash.
