EunB Accident - The KPop community is grieving the loss of a talent after popular Korean girl group Ladies' Code got involved in a fatal crash that claimed the life of one of its members.
According to multiple reports about the tragic incident dubbed as the EunB accident, the van transporting Ladies' Code members and their entourage was heading to Seoul in the morning of Sept. 3 (local time), when the back wheel of the vehicle fell off.
The van slipped down the rainy road and at about 1:20 a.m. in South Korea, the vehicle slammed into a protective wall in the proximity of the Singal Intersection on the Yeongdong Expressway en route to Incheon, AllKPop has learned.
EunB, the 22-year-old singer and member of the all-girl KPop group, passed away in the tragic crash called the EunB accident.
Injured passengers from the EunB accident were reportedly rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital. Members Rise - said to be in critical condition - and SoJung - reportedly injured - were hospitalized, while Ashly, Zuny, the band's managers and stylists did not endure serious injuries.
Polaris Entertainment, the group's label, confirmed the EunB accident in a statement to Yahoo! Philippines explaining what happened.
"After a schedule in Daegu on September 2, LADIES′ CODE was headed back to Seoul. Around 1:30 AM in Suwon, an issue occurred with the car′s back wheel coming off," the official statement read.
"With the rainy road and wheel coming off, the vehicle spun several times, hitting a guardrail," the agency continued. "Due to this, Eun Bi unfortunately passed away. The other members, Rise is in critical condition while So Jung is injured and hospitalized, currently receiving treatment. The other members, manager, and stylists, who were in the car, did not receive serious injuries."
The company went to share the shock and deep sorrow that its staff is enduring as of the moment. It also apologized to all the fans and everyone who experienced much shock as well brought about by the EunB accident. In addition, Polaris Entertainment is requesting everyone to pray for the fast recovery of the members.
