Delta legroom fight - A scuffle exploded between two airline passengers when one woman tried to recline her seat causing the passenger behind her to go berserk and demand for the plane to land so she could get off.
According to several Delta legroom fight reports, flight 2370 from New York's LaGuardia Airport to West Palm Beach was rerouted to Jacksonville late Monday, when a Florida woman freaked out after the woman in front of her leaned her seat back and hit her.
An altercation ensued leading to the third flight diversion caused by passengers fighting over reclining seats in about a week.
Amy Fine of Boca Raton, the identified unruly passenger in the Delta legroom fight, was escorted by cops from the plane to the rental car area and released without incident, a report from the Jacksonville Aviation Authority obtained by ABC News stated.
Around 9:30 p.m., the rerouted flight caused by the Delta legroom fight reportedly arrived in Jacksonville, and by 11 p.m. - 90 minutes past its scheduled arrival time, the plane finally landed in West Palm Beach.
Fine, 32, was reportedly resting her head on a tray table and lost her cool when the passenger in front of her reclined her seat and struck Fine on the head.
"This woman who was sitting next to me knitting actually just tried reclining her seat back," passenger Aaron Klipin told FOX News. "The woman behind her started screaming and swearing and then a flight attendant came over and that just exacerbated what was going on and then she demanded that the flight land."
When the attendants attempted to calm her down, Fine is said to have told one of them to "ear sh-t and die." She later told cops that two of her dogs recently died causing her to be very emotional.
The airline reportedly confirmed the diversion - brought about by the Delta legroom fight - in a statement.
"Out of an abundance of caution, the captain elected to divert to the closest airport," the airline said. "Local law enforcement met the flight and removed the passenger."
