Abercrombie & Fitch plans to remove its logo for its upcoming set of production this spring in North America.
It seems like the said clothing company is trying to keep its sales on track after several reports claimed that the said brand is already having serious troubles when it comes to their finances. Retailers are said to be struggling in terms of selling the clothing products from the said company and with that, sales have significantly dropped. So, what is the company's next move to salvage its stand in the market?
Newest reports suggest that Abercrombie may no longer be much publicized in the coming seasons as they are about to move forward with the process of removing the logos in their apparels. The sudden change comes after it was known that the teenagers, who happen to be the target of the marketing, are already shifting to a much cheaper brand. The said transition is already causing a strain in the sales of the company since the products that teens have shifted onto are already having much profit.
Cheaper products are said to be hastily disposed in the market making its creators far richer than they were. With the fact that Abercrombie's income is already dropping, they have planned to remove their logos making their apparels look just like any ordinary clothing. On the other hand, their existing products in the market will be having a dramatic drop in their costs as it will be available in a discounted price.
The company also believes that Abercrombie's decision to remove logos will somehow make their sales up although its trademark will remain as part of the business in areas of Europe. With the company's off trademark campaign, the apparels will be distributed in a much cheaper price compared to their $58 typical clothing. The said move will be also expected to make them catch up with the fast chains.
