‘The Voice’ Season 7 Mentors, News: Taylor Swift Joins as Celebrity Adviser

Taylor Swift makes a lot of buzz again this time as she confirms becoming a celebrity adviser for the upcoming "The Voice" season 7.

After shocking everyone of her recent 2014 Video Music Awards performance, the 24-year-old singer is now sharing her know-how in music by the reality singing competition's adviser for the new season.

It can be recalled that the same task was given to Coldplay's front man Chris Martin for the NBC show's previous season.

The singer who is hinted to be transforming into the pop genre from being a country crooner will join in new coaches as well, "Happy" singer Pharell Williams and "No Doubt" singer Gwen Stefani. On the other hand, old timers like Blake Shelton and singer recently turned actor Adam Levine will continue to be a part of the hit show.

According to a source of US Weekly, the "Shake it Off" singer gave good feedback to "The Voice" season 7 contestants.

Swift is set to act as adviser to all four teams but each group will still have their own iconic celebrity mentors.

Team Adam will have Stevie Wonder, Team Blake will have Little Big Town, Team Pharrell will have Alicia Keys and Team Gwen will have her very own rockstar hubby Gavin Rossdale.

This is not the first time that the once controversial country singer has been seen in the singing show. Swift once appeared during the fourth season of the show but as a performer.

The singer-songwriter has been keeping busy not just with her fifth studio album but also with films. She recently became a part of the latest film adaptation "The Giver" as the character of Rosemary.

Her latest single reached the number one spot on Billboard's Hot 100 list within its first week of release.

"The Voice" season 7 is set to start this coming September 22. Taylor Swift's latest album called "1989" is set for an October 27 release.
