Ronald Stan found after nearly 37 years. This man from Ontario has been declared missing, as he has not been found for 37 years, and has actually been assumed to be dead. However, just recently, Ronald Stan found alive in the United States.
According to the reports of the Ontario Provincial Police in Middlesex County, it was in September of 1977 that Ronald Stan found first went missing. He was 32 at the time and he was reported missing after a barn fire occurred in the former Township of East Williams, which is located about 35 kilometers west of London. The Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal and the OPP were the ones tasked to investigate the fire.
Although it was not officially declared yet, Ronald Stan found was actually suspected of dying in the barn fire. Still, firefighters never gave up looking for his body as they constantly dug through the smoldering remains without seeing any sign of his body.
One firefighter, Jim Walsh, who is retired now, informed CTVNews, "I remember that one quite well because we dug through dead pigs and so on with our boots on, and had done our very best to find human remains. And there was none in that barn."
Only nine years after Ronald Stan found suddenly disappeared, specifically in 1986, he was declared to be dead by the court. However, in July of 2014, a routine audit of the case ended up reopening the investigation regarding his disappearance. He was then found to be alive.
The OPP then found out that Ronald Stan found, who is now 69 years old, has been alive all this time and has been living under another name, Jeff Walton, in the United States. US authorities have now been notified of this and the local police have also contact all of the families who have been affected by this recent discovery.
