"Iron Man 4" is one of today's most anticipated blockbusters in the years to come. However, if the reports that are being posted online are true, it looks like regular fan favorites, Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, would be out of the picture. It is a known fact that many "Iron Man" fans would want these two aforementioned celebrities to be Pepper Potts and Tony Stark forever. Sadly, it may be far from possible.
With the hovering possibility that Downey and Paltrow will be removed from the mix, fans are wondering on who the new actor and actress selected to replace them in the future "Iron Man" installments will be.
To date, neither Paltrow nor Downey has actually confirmed turning down any offer to reprise the roles. However, it has been reported that the two of them have not signed on for "Iron Man 4," which already has a scheduled released by May of 2019. In fact, according to multiple online reports, the next couple of appearances that fans can get from Tony Stark will only be in the two upcoming movies for Marvel's "The Avengers."
With all this ruckus surfacing on the Internet, Downey has not ruled out a future deal for a stand-alone flick for Tony Stark, "Iron Man 4." He gave the media a few hints during his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly that is actually open to having another deal.
He said, "It's down to Kevin and Ike and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree. When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement." Referring to the current "Avengers" flick, he said, "Right now, this has just been swell, hasn't it? This has been a really good one and it feels good and we're having a good time."
