Flight 370 Update: $30K Or More Stolen From Passengers’ Bank Accounts, Malaysia Airlines To Restructure Business?

Flight 370 update includes news of something happening outside of the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines jet. Apparently, the latest Flight 370 update involves four of its passengers as thousands of dollars suddenly disappeared from their accounts on Jul. 18, said officials.

According to The Epoch Times, at least $35,000 has been stolen from four passengers aboard the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. The plane had 239 people on board when it disappeared on March.

The Flight 370 update where the passengers' money was stolen came five months after the plane disappeared. According to the Daily Mail, the mysterious withdrawals totaled 110,643 ringgit, more or less US$30,000. The money was reportedly taken from the accounts of two Malaysian and two Chinese MH370 victims.

As of the current moment, Q13 Fox News reports that the police and the bank are investigating this latest Flight 370 update on the bank accounts of passengers presumed dead.

In the meantime, Senior Deputy Commissioner Tajuddin Md Isa told reporters, 'Do not speculate on this matter and allow us to conduct a thorough investigation.'

Police have recently identified two suspects into this latest Flight 370 update.

According to the Daily Mail, the suspects are a Malaysian bank officer and her husband. They have reportedly been arrested in Malaysia after authorities investigated the case.

The couple have already been held in police custody since Thursday. Police are now looking for a Pakistani man, the third suspect, who authorities believe received part of the money through online transfer.

According to Zainuddin Ahmad, district police chief in Kuala Lumpur, they believe the man is still in the country.

Ahmad told AFP, 'But as to the full particulars of the case - it's all still under investigation.'

According to The Mirror, this latest Flight 370 update involves a 33-year-old who works at HSBC and her husband. They were held by authorities after a manager noticed suspicious activity at a Kuala Lumpur branch.

Assistant Commissioner to the crime investigation department Izany Abdul Ghany told The Mirror, 'We are investigating the case as unauthorized access with intent to commit an offense. We are getting CCTV footage from the bank to identify the suspects involved.'

Apparently, this Flight 370 update involving a bank in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, happened on Jul. 18 after they noticed discrepancies in the passengers' accounts. They later lodged a police complaint, said Ghany.

According to The Epoch Times, the money was deposited to a fourth passengers' account before being taken on Jul. 18. The suspects are believed to have transferred a third of the money to an outside account before draining the rest of the amount.

This Flight 370 update comes as the search team for the missing Malaysia Airlines jet is preparing for a deep-water search across 60,000 square kilometres of the Indian Ocean, reports the Daily Mail.

Malaysia Flight 370 is vanished from control tower radar during a flight to Beijing Mar. 8. The jet is believed to have crashed into the Indian Ocean and all 239 passengers and crew members are presumed dead. However, despite a frantic search by Malaysian and Australian officials, no passenger jet was located.

Because of the wide criticism received by the company of its handling of the crisis, bosses are reportedly considering rebranding the airline. They are now looking at a number of options of restructuring the business which could involve a change of name.

Flight 370 update unfortunately does not involve a progress in the missing plane's search. The missing passengers' loved ones are still hoping for a positive turnout into the search and that the plane may still be found.
