Jackie Chan’s Son Arrested: 32-Year-Old Actor Seized over Marijuana Possession Despite Father's Narcotics Control Ambassador Position

Jackie Chan's son has been arrested in Beijing for alleged possession of illegal drugs.

Jaycee Chan, was reportedly taken into police custody after the Beijing police discovered three-and-a-half ounces of marijuana at the 32-year-old's Beijing residence and had tested positive for the substance.

The authorities said that action movie star Jackie Chan's son who was arrested, had also made his house a drug den allowing other people to use addictive substances at his house. Young Mr. Chan was seized by the police last Thursday, together with 23-year-old Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko, Telegraph reported.

A third person identified as Mr. Song, was also jailed for dealing the drugs recovered at Chan's house.

Jackie Chan's son arrested is just among those in the long list of celebrities - from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan - that the Chinese Police have been targeting.

Several Chinese entertainment agencies have also agreed on Aug 13 to black list any artist proven to be using drugs.

A communist party supporter, the action star is said to have previously warned his son from associating with Kai Ko who apparently influenced Jaycee to use drugs. The latter even publicly vowed to never lead Jackie Chan's son to a dangerous path.

Older reports seemed to have suggested that the father and son have a somewhat difficult relationship, with Jackie announcing in April 2011 that his son would not be inheriting a dime from him. Rather, Jaycee would have to work for his own money as his dad will be donating to charity his entire fortune.

"If he is capable, he can make his own money. If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money," Jackie said at the time.

Meanwhile, news of Jackie Chan's son arrested over drugs would probably add up to the already existing tension (if there is) between the older and younger Chan. Ironically, Jackie himself had signed up five years ago to be a "Narcotics Control Ambassador" of the Chinese police.
