Martin Truex Jr. and Sherry Pollex are currently facing a great challenge in their relationship as the NASCAr driver's girlfriend is set to undergo surgery in relation to her ovarian cancer.
The NASCAR driver will most likely miss the activities slated for the Sprint Cup in Michigan International Speedway on Friday as he preferred to be with his lover who's scheduled to undergo a very crucial medical procedure. He opted to stay beside her as she starts with her treatment and until she moves forward with the recovery stage. The current situation seemed not to rock the couple's relationship as Pollex's boyfriend has been always there for her especially now that she will be under the knives.
With Martin Truex Jr. not be able to make it on track this Friday as he spends time with his girlfriend Sherry Pollex, fellow racer Matt Crafton will be replacing him in the Furniture Row Racing No. 78 car. Despite of missing the Friday's race, he plans to be on track and race on Sunday with his team. Meanwhile, his team has also been supportive of his Pollex as they try to also extend their thoughts for her.
"Everyone at Furniture Row Racing extends their thoughts and prayers to Sherry during her treatment and recovery period... She is a devoted supporter of our race team and we can't wait for her return to the track." FRR GM, Joe Garone said in a statement.
Despite of Martin Truex Jr. girlfriend's condition, Sherry Pollex is still able to extend her support to kids who are also suffering from cancer. Way back in 2007, the couple has been already active in terms of showing support to those children suffering from illness, poverty and support.
Despite of Sherry Pollex illness, she still tries to stay strong and positive about the outcomes of her surgery.
"Thank you so much for all the prayers!!! I'm going to need them. But I'm a fighter. I can beat this!! Cancer picked the wrong chick," she recently tweeted in Twitter.
Martin Truex Jr. has been also reportedly supportive to his girlfriend especially now that she's battling cancer.
