Puppy saves girl Siberian after the three-year-old Karina Chikitova got lost deep into the woods for 11 days. The little girl apparently got separated from her mother, who, in turn, only assumed that the child went to her father's village that was located in a remote portion of the Sakha Republic.
After she realized that her daughter was truly missing, a huge search and rescue operation was immediately launched. Sadly, however, after days of dead ends, the girl's family and the local villagers were starting to give up hope of ever finding her.
It was a good thing that the family puppy, who was reportedly with Karina when she disappeared, returned home. At first, though, everyone initially took this as a bad sign.
Afansiy Nikolayev, the spokesperson for the Sakha Republic Rescue Service, informed The Daily Mail, "That was the moment when our hearts sank, because we thought, at least, with her dog, Karina had chances to survive - nights in Yakutia are cold and some areas have already gone into minus temperature. If she was to her puppy, we thought this would have given her a chance to stay warm during nights and survive."
It turned that the return of the puppy was actually the miracle that the search and rescue team has been waiting for. The puppy saves girl Siberian led the rescue team to the area where the little girl was staying. She survived for 11 days by eating only wild berries and by drinking river water. Plus, she found a soft field of tall grass to sleep on.
According to multiple online reports, the young child looked to be "surprisingly well" for someone who got lost in the Siberian woods for 11 days. The puppy saves girl Siberian was then reunited with her family and is presently recovering in the hospital.
