Hope Solo and Husband Jerramy Stevens, attended the Olympian's brief hearing on Monday, to get the assault charges filed against her by family members dismissed.
Ironically, Hope Solo's husband is said to be the root of the physical altercation which happened between the athlete, her half-sister and her nephew,Daily Mail has learned.
The 32-year-old soccer pro is accused of beating up her nephew and half-sister in a drunken brawl after she reportedly went to their house to complain about Stevens "being a jerk."
But it appeared that all is very well now between Hope Solo and husband Jerramy, as both reportedly managed to smile and hold hands while exiting Kirkland, Washington municipal court.
In the hearing, it was decided that the Seattle Reign FC goalkeeper's trial will be set on Nov. 4.
According to her attorney Todd Maybrown, he intends to have the case dismissed and have evidence supressed.
"As expected, and as is normal in misdemeanor cases, today's hearing was about setting a trial date. We're pleased that both sides, and the judge, agreed to a November date and we look forward to the opportunity for the truth about this incident to be disclosed which will clear Hope's name," Maybrown said through email.
Hope Solo has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges when she allegedly hit her half-sister and nephew in late June.
The police affidavit noted that an upset Solo went over to her half-sister's home because her husband refused to take her to catch a flight.
The sisters reportedly started drinking wine and Solo ended up drunk. At one point, the intoxicated player thought her nephew was insulting her so she told him he was "too fat and crazy" to be a professional athlete. More hurtful words were then exchanged between the two and things got physical when Solo punched her nephew and grabbed him by the hair. When her step-sister stepped in to stop her, she allegedly hit her as well.
If proven guilty, Hope Solo could face up to six months in jail.
This isn't the first time that Hope Solo and husband Jerramy Stevens got involved in a controversy. The former Seattle Seahawks tight end was once arrested before their wedding in 2012, for assault after a disturbance involving his then bride.
According to ESPN, the trial date will not conflict with Reign GC's qualifying matches.
