Oklahoma Bodies Found in Lake Cold Cases - Remains of six people have been discovered inside two cars submerged at an American lake for more than four decades.
In the latest development about the Oklahoma bodies found in lake cold cases, three teenagers, who had gone missing since November 1970, are believed to be among those found in one car, while the other three individuals are thought to be those who disappeared separately about 10 years earlier.
Canada Journal reported that the two vehicles - a '52 Chevy and a '69 Camaro - were pulled from Foss Lake, a massive man-made reservoir near Elk City, in Oklahoma last September, after being detected by a new sonar equipment during an OHP sonar training exercise.
"It was quite a shock when the first car came out and we saw what was in the driver's seat," Oklahoma Highway Patrol spokeswoman Betsy Randolph, said last year.
Among the three individuals identified in the Oklahoma bodies found in lake cold cases are said to be Jimmy Allen Williams - the owner of the 1969 Camaro who was 16 years old when he disappeared in 1970 - and his friends Thomas Rios and Leah Johnson, according to the Examiner. The trio were reportedly on their way to a football game in Elk City, but they never made it to the venue. They have been reported as missing persons ever since.
Also reportedly identified in the second vehicle is Cleburn Hammack, who disappeared in 1969 together with two people believed to be Alvi Porter and Debbie McManannan. The three were last seen traveling in Canute, about 15 miles south of Lake Foss.
The medical examiner's autopsy reports on the discovered remains in the Oklahoma bodies found in lake cold cases, revealed that neither Hammack nor Williams displayed any signs of trauma, and both deaths are possibly due to accidental drowning.
In the Oklahoma bodies found in lake cold case discovery, the two cars are said to have been found three feet apart in 12 feet of water near the main concrete boat dock on the lake.
