He was, as reported, merely on a lovely day out with his family. He purchased and consumed chocolate from one of the booths at a county fair in Colorado. According to Jordan Coombs' pot statements, he was immediately stricken ill.
Jordan Coombs pot stated that he repeatedly asked the fair vendor if the Full Melt Chocolate that he was selling had any marijuana in it. The vendor reportedly said that there was no marijuana in it whatsoever.
Similar complaints have also reached the local police. There were two other complains from different people who reportedly ate the pot-laced chocolate, without knowing that it had marijuana in it.
Shortly after this incident, a lawsuit was filed against the makers of the Full Melt Chocolate, LivWell of Denver. Jordan Coombs pot said that he felt like as if he was having a heart attack. He also mentioned that he was experiencing some hallucinations.
According to the report form MSN News, Jordan Coombs pot purchased the controversial chocolate from a vendor in the "Pot Pavilion." This booth was actually allowed to sell marijuana-themed merchandise, but straight pot or pot-laced items were not allowed to be sold at this Colorado fair. This is actually what the advertising of the fair loudly said. Although there was a pot-baking contest held during the opening of the fair, marijuana products were not allowed for selling at the fair.
Colorado has already legalized recreational pot. However, since its legalization, there has been a noticeable spike in children and animals that accidentally consumed pot-laced edibles, such as soda, brownies, and candies.
Jordan Coombs pot is only one of the three victims who complained that they, unbeknownst to them, got pot-laced chocolate at the fair. This then compelled the local law enforcement to have an investigation underway.
