Reggie Wayne makes a dramatic entrance at the training camp held last Wednesday. Reggie Wayne showed up for training camp wearing an interesting fire suit and a Colts helmet. It would seem that Reggie Wayne is trying to send a message with this kind of arrival.
Reggie Wayne is actually coming off a highly disappointing year for him. Just last year, Reggie Wayne suffered from a severe knee injury, which compelled him to take a back seat to everything in order to recuperate. Now, though, as evidenced by the way he entered training camp, he looks like he is good and strong to get back in the game. He informed a string of reporters, "I feel fast."
Dramatic entrances to the training camp are not something new for the famous Reggie Wayne. In the previous years, the 35-year-old wide receiver arrived in a dump truck, in a military convoy, and in a helicopter. This latest race car transportation of his is his method of telling everyone that he is fast and is ready to win.
Reggie Wayne was an All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler who only appeared in seven games in 2013. He was able to catch a total of 38 passes for 503 yards, as well as two touchdowns before he had to take a leave because of his injury. This season, however, if he is able to stay healthy and strong, he and Andrew Luck, the quarterback of Indianapolis, could be one of the NFL's most amazing and dynamic quarterback-receiver pairs.
It would seem that Reggie Wayne is on his way to being included in the NFL's Hall of Fame. Although, he is still quite a distance away from giving his speech in Canton, Ohio, his record of 1,006 receptions for 13,566 yards, in addition to his 80 touchdowns, in a span of just 13 years reserves him a spot.
