Apparently, when unknowing users click on the post, they are redirected to a website designed to mimic Facebook. Afterwards, it prompts the users to share the page before going further. This allows the scam to spread further. There is no actual video of Cyrus on the page.

According to the source from HollywoodLife.com, 'Miley is just laying low and hanging out with her new dog and just relaxing. She is aware of the death hoax and thought it was actually pretty funny. By not responding, she thinks it is that much more of a joke because people are continuing to believe it.'

Miley is in fact, totally OK with people thinking she is dead. The source said, 'She has mentioned to friends that this is her Paul [McCartney] is dead Beatles moment.'

Miley's "Beatles moment" is actually referring to the conspiracy which said that Paul McCartney actually died, but was replaced by a lookalike.
