Siegfried and Roy have just added three new fluffy members to their wildlife family. Siegfried and Roy, short for Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn, are actually highly skilled magicians who own their own wildlife sanctuary.
Just recently, this pair welcomed three extremely rare snowy white lion cubs to their sanctuary, the Secret Garden, which can be found on the Las Vegas trip. These cute felines were born in South Africa, particularly in Johannesburg, and are just 14 weeks old. Once they finally grow to their full size, they are expected to weigh as much as 500 pounds, which, in turn, is expected to happen in two to four years.
Siegfried said in his statement, "Millions of people each year visit the Secret Garden and are awed by these great creatures. One by one, we are raising awareness for the plight of rare and endangered animals - our true mission."
These three cub brothers have been named by Siegfried and Roy as Madiba, which is the tribal name of the late Nelson Mandela, Freedom, and Timba-Masai, a combination of the South African region of Timbavati and Masai, the name of the tribe that lives in this particular region.
Siegfried and Roy, 75 years old and 69 years old, respectively, are legendary magicians who decided to put their famous magic stage shows to a close after Roy was attacked by one of their tigers back in 2003. It was during a performance, and the tiger attack left Roy partially paralyzed.
Still, despite this drawback, Siegfried and Roy continued to move on with the wonderful work that they have already started with different endangered animals. At present, the exotic habitat owned by Siegfried and Roy have 13 tigers and six lions. These three amazingly new additions to their animal roster may be viewed starting on Friday.
