Silvio Berlusconi Wins Appeal Against Sex Conviction; Berlusconi Allegedly Mercilessly Paid for Sex with 17-Year-Old Prostitute

Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian former Prime Minister has won an appeal against his current conviction for paying for sex with a prostitute who was allegedly an under-aged teen. His prison sentence of seven years for the infamous "Ruby" case has been dismissed by judges in Milan.

Just last year, a court found out that he had paid for sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old nightclub dancer named, Karima El-Mahroug, who was also famous for her nickname, "Ruby the Heart-Stealer."

At present, Silvio Berlusconi is doing community service after he was sentenced for tax fraud. This, on the other hand, was a separate case that involved his business empire, Mediaset. The 77-year-old Silvio Berlusconi is helping out once a week at a home for people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. He started the community service last May. By far, this is the only final judgment that is placed against him, despite of the existence of other court cases.

During the "Ruby" case hearing, both Silvio Berlusconi and El-Mahroug denied that they have ever had sex. Some trial reports were raised, and it was then that his raunchy parties, otherwise coined as "bunga-bunga", were revealed. As reported, these private parties were held at his villa, and majority of the guests were amazingly gorgeous showgirls. Some of the female guests described the parties as "elegant dinner parties."

Silvio Berlusconi is a billionaire tycoon and a veteran politician who was also acquitted of another charge that he was abused his prime ministerial powers during his time. He allegedly pressured the police to free El-Mahroug back when she was still in police custody. In a separate case, Silvio Berlusconi has also been charged of bribing a senator.

Since he was convicted over Mediaset, Silvio Berlusconi was officially banned from holding political office for two straight years and was also expelled from the Senate.
