Boxing News Mayweather has just announced over social media that he is, indeed, set on a rematch with Marcos Maidana. It was only last week that Floyd Mayweather Jr mentioned a "plan" that he was looking forward to another ring battle with Maidana, but it would seem that he was immediately able to make a quick decision just a week after.
Boxing news Mayweather-Maidana II, or otherwise dubbed as "Mayhem", will be going down on the 13th of September, and has been set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. This match will be headlining the pound-for-pound king's Showtime PPV card, which is the 4th bout of his six-fight deal with Showtime/CBS.
Brooklyn's Barclays Center has been exerting a lot of effort to land a boxing news Mayweather fight, but Floyd Mayweather Jr says that is pretty much comfortable with fighting in his hometown. In fact, he is looking forward to lacing them up at the MGM Grand for the 10th consecutive time.
Boxing news Mayweather is hoping to erase, once and for all, any doubt about what had happened in his previous match with Maidana that took place on the 3rd of May, which was his first bout against the latter boxer. It was a unanimous decision of 117-111, 116-112, and 114-114. He said in a news release, "Marcos Maidana is a tough customer and he gave me a fight that had me work for the victory."
Boxing news Mayweather then added, "His style is difficult at best, but with experience comes a way and will to win. I'm not one to give second chances in the ring, but I want to give the fans what they want to see. I will be as prepared as I always am when I step in the ring on September 13. I only see the outcome one way and that's another successful night for me and my team."
