Defiance Season 2 is back with episode 2 tonight on SyFy Channel, and things are not looking good for Nolan who is now tasked to hunt down the perpetrator of the attack plotted against Mayor Nottinger. This season of Defiance is unveiling numerous changes for the residents of Defiance. In the NYC Comic Con 2013, Grant Bowler even dished how the characters of the series are becoming more desperate than before. "If anything's happened in between series, it's that everybody lost their jobs. So that thing that everyone distracts themselves with has been taken away from all these characters they're not now left only with all their flaws, what they're lacking, what they're missing and what they've lost." Additionally, one major change that is quite noticeable on the series is the addition of Linda Hamilton (Terminator) to the cast. Kevin Murphy opened up about Hamilton's role to Entertainment Weekly. On the other hand, according to Classicalite, the plot synopsis of the upcoming episode goes like this: "Irisa is arrested upon her return to Defiance, but Nolan can arrange her release by capturing those responsible for an explosion that nearly killed Mayor Pottinger. Meanwhile, Stahma decides the only way to stay in control of her family's criminal enterprises is by ensuring that Datak stays behind bars."
