Tracy Morgan rehab placement is the latest update on the comedian's health after being released from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. According to the actor's rep as told to Us Weekly, Tracy Morgan rehab placement is now confirmed and the rehabilitation facility will be in New Jersey.
Before Tracy Morgan rehab placement has been confirmed, the' 30 Rock' alum had been in critical condition following the car accident on June 12. His rep reportedly told Us five days later after being admitted to hospital that it was "a better day" for the star as he was upgraded to "fair condition."
According to the Associated Press, Morgan's spokesman said that as of the current moment, Morgan is showing signs of improvement but still has a long road to full recovery, which is why Tracy Morgan rehab placement was imminent.
In a report by WTHITV, the actor's rep told Us in a statement, "Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks. While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go. He and [fiancee] Megan [Wollover] wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him."
Meanwhile, the rehab facility where Tracy Morgan rehab is to take place has not yet been identified. All that is known about the facility is that is in New Jersey.
The stand-up comedian is still recovering from injuries which include a broken leg and broken ribs which he acquired in a car accident on June 7, about two weeks ago. As previously reported by Us, the 45-year-old was seriously injured in a six-vehicle car crash in Cranbury, NJ on June 7. The limousine where Morgan was riding in with his entourage was hit from behind by a Wal-Mart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike. Because of Tracy Morgan car accident, 63-year-old friend and comedy writer James McNair was killed. Two other men were seriously injured as well.
Meanwhile, days leading up to Tracy Morgan rehab placement, his fiancee has reportedly been posting messages to her Facebook page during these trying times.
She recently wrote, 'All your prayers helped- moving forward- stable & fair condition, but the journey continues...#faith.'
On June 17, she also shared a picture of Morgan and their 11-month-old daughter Maven. She captioned the photo with, 'On my mind...heavy #mytoobabies #myheart. Late but never too late-- Hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day!'
On Thursday, federal transportation safety investigators released a report which revealed that the truck driver was speeding before slamming onto the limousine van where Morgan was in. The speed limit in the turnpike has been lowered to 45mph due to construction at the time.
Even as the truck driver responsible for Tracy Morgan rehab is already facing charges, the report also raised questions about driver Kevin Roper's work hours and if they had been in conflict with federal safety guidelines.
According to Gulf News, Roper had been wroking 13+ hours at the time of the crash. Though federal rules permit truck drivers to work up to 14 hours a day, the maximum for hours behind the wheel is only 11 hours.
A Wal-Mart spokeswoman couldn't be reached for comment Thursday regarding Roper's hours or his itinerary and Tracy Morgan rehab. Roper's attorney had not returned messages on his phone numbers as well.
Tracy Morgan rehab transfer to a facility in New Jersey has been confirmed Friday.
