Jon Stewart speaks up about Iraq critics being extremely wrong in their statements. On the Monday night episode of "Daily Show", Stewart played clip after clip of the toughest critics that President Barack Obama has in his league. The clips were dated on different years, from 2001, 2003, and even ones from just last year. As the American people have learned now, much of what they have been told before was just flat-out false.
Stewart was not shy at all as he said, "You can have all these memorable screw-ups and more. Just call now and order "Now That's What I call Being Completely F*cking Wrong about Iraq."
The same critics that were featured in Stewart's clips are the same ones that America sees popping up in various news shows today, but this time, with a different stand on the issue. Instead of supporting the President, they are now attacking Obama's policy on Iraq. According to Stewart, the media has made a reunion for the "band" to get back together, but now with an all-new lead singer.
Stewart's clips were referring to Lindsey Graham, as he showed clips of Graham in 2001 urging the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. The other clips included Bill Kristol of Weekly Standard warning about how Hussein's weapons of mass destruction can affect the world, and Paul Wolfowitz discussing about the ability of Iraq to finance its very own reconstruction.
After their public announcements, the trio seemed to have lain off their comments against Iraq, which, in turn, became the butt of another one of Stewart's jokes. He said, "Those idiots were ostracized, never heard from again."
None of these aforementioned personalities, however, reaped the same level of exposure as Senator John McCain, who was seen on TV only last week right in the midst of the Iraq breakdown. As Stewart put it, "And since John McCain was one of the wrongest before during the war, it's only fitting that in this current crisis, he was on so many shows. You'd think he just won 'Dancing with the Stars.'"
