The patients at Monash Children's Hospital in Clayton, Victoria, Australia were among the lucky ones to personally experience a duet from Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban last Friday. The duo arrived at the hospital premises unannounced and just started to woo and chat with the people who were there.
Urban, sat on one of the NICU desks and strummed while he and his wife from horror flick "The Others" sang in an extremely rare duet. Kidman's latest movie "Grace of Monaco" flopped, but her latest video with the "American Idol" host received a lot of good feedback and applause. They led an impromptu version of the famous song "Amazing Grace, which the crowd also sang to in chorus to the couple's voices.
The NICU employees were star-struck. The hospital came up with a statement of gratitude and posted it on the hospital's website. It said, "We want to say a huge THANK you to Nicole, Keith and Swisse for lifting up the spirits of some of our most deserving patients, families, and staff." Apart from the celebrity couple, the hospital also thanked Swisse or Wellness, which is a vitamin company that helped make this rare sing-along happen.
A spokesperson for the hospital, Shane Butler, said that the hospital's employees were very thrilled about the unannounced visit. He said, "There was a real buzz in the air."
Later that same day, Kidman and Urban was spotted in Melbourne at the Swisse Wellness Australia Celebrate Life ball. Kidman looked gorgeous in her black masquerade mask.
The Kidman-Urban couple has been going around and traveling from one place to another lately. They were last seen in Nashville on the 4th of June for the CMT Music Awards and staying a bit longer in town for Urban's CMA Fest performance. It was after these events that the couple took a flight home to their native land, Australia.
