General Motors (GM) is again facing dilemma as the company issued another set of recall this 2014.
Safety concerns have raised when it was found out that some cars listed under the company lacks the capability to secure its passenger. The safety issues primarily resulted from the problems identified in different cars which reportedly resulted to a number of deaths. Reports have been previously saying that there were almost 13 deaths associated with the technical problems found in different kinds of vehicles produced by the said company.
Upon choosing a vehicle, it is a must that the safety of the people riding in it is being secured. Simple problems found in a car particularly those that affect its driving performance are very crucial because a small problem can even lead to a larger one if neglected. Defective cars are very delicate in the business; thus, GM decided to recall millions of its cars worldwide this 2014 without even minding the company's billions of losses in profit.
The well-known multinational corporation has been known for the kind of vehicles that it has produced in different top-grossing brands such as Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac. In order to address the defects of the cars produced under the company's brand names, GM issued a recall this 2014 after it was found out that the cars are defective. Millions of cars were withdrawn from the market after problems such as in the ignition switch was identified.
On Monday, GM announced its most recent recall this 2014. According to the company, they will be withdrawing a total of 3.36 million defective cars all over the world. The problem with the midsize and full-sized cars has been associated with the ignition switch which potentially affects the power steering, power brakes and airbags.
Along with GM's recall announcement, the company also said that they will be replacing the ignition keys used in seven models because of the faulty design that has been used for many years. With more millions to lose, the company is still determined to withdraw everything they have placed in the market while it is still a big question as to how will the company revive its image after this massive recall involving cars from 2000 to 2014.
