Sarah Paulson Reveals Freak Character for AHS “Freak Show” Due This Fall

Sarah Paulson, a resident cast member of Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story" has given fans a glimpse of the character, or in this case, characters that she will be playing for the series 4th season entitled "Freak Show".

Paulson tweeted a picture on Thursday, May 12, revealing that she will be portraying the roles of Bette and Dot, who are Siamese twins and were a famous carnival attraction back in the 50s. She captioned the photo with, "So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season. Two heads are better than one! #AHSFREAKSHOW." In the story, this Florida freak show was managed by the character that Jessica Lange will be playing, a German expat who gets the kicks out collecting "freaks."

Paulson did an interview with E! News just this week and she shared that her first reaction after she got the script was a solid, "Holy sh*t!" She gave a few hints about the upcoming season and said that it will be a hybrid between the two previous seasons, namely "Asylum" and "Coven." She said, "There's going to be a little bit of a richer and potentially darker tone the way 'Asylum' had, but with the humor infused from 'Coven.'"

EW confirmed that the new FX miniseries will be returning to the small screen in the fall. The setting will be in Jupiter Florida during the 1950s era. "American Horror Story", coined as AHS, locals Denis O'Hare, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, and Angela Bassett will be returning to the season, with the addition of Michael Chiklis. O'Hare will be taking on the role of Lange's rival freak collector.

AHS fans are hopeful that more characters will be revealed soon. Plus, a lot of fans are looking forward to the return of Season 2's pinhead, Pepper.
