Harrison Ford recently sustained an ankle injury while filming the upcoming "Star Wars" film wherein he will be reprising his role as Han Solo, how will his injury affect his role in the upcoming movie installment?

Many were shocked when the news about the actor's injury broke off and it also caused some worries regarding with the progress of the filming of Star Wars 7. The entire production has only begun shooting for just a few weeks and now there seems to be a big problem. With the actor's health condition being jeopardized, how will his role come out in the sequel?

It will indeed be a great concern for the film's production team on how they are going to deal with Harrison Ford's character while he is trying to recover from his ankle injury. The actor who will again portray Han Solo in the big screen will also be joined by other Star Wars alum. Returning stars will include Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew.

Concerns actually started to rise when the Associated Press reported that on Thursday Harrison Ford suffered from an ankle injury while he was on the set filming the 7th Star Wars film. The production is currently filming at the Pinewood Studios outside of London. Disney as the producer of the film released an official statement confirming the actor's injury.

"Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury while filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates" the statement said.

According to the report, the actor was injured on Thursday when the door of his spacecraft in the film which is known as the Millennium Falcon fell on him. The actor was then rushed into a hospital through airlifting. The crushing of Harrison Ford's ankle is not his first injury because he also previously suffered from a back injury while he was filming "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom". As of the moment, it is still a huge question when will the actor resume shooting for the movie and how will the production team cope if he won't be back in time.
